Has anyone questioned why Panasonic are offering a £30 cashback deal on the Lumix TZ10? Could it possibly be because they want to get rid of stock before the release of their next Travel Zoom camera? Possibly a TZ11 or TZ12?
The TZ7 and TZ8 were released around the 27th of January 2009, then the TZ10 was released the following year on the 26th of January 2010. Could it be that Panasonic are looking at releasing the next version of the Travel Zoom incarnation shortly after the cashback deal ends after the 19th of January 2011?
Will a TZ11 or TZ12 be released nearing the end of January thereby bringing the cost down further of the current TZ10? Would the price be cheaper than the current cost including the cashback deal?
This is of course all speculation at this stage, but a TZ11 or TZ12 with for example the same fantastic photo quality but with 1080HD recording instead of the current 720 and perhaps a 16x zoom instead of the current 12x
