Hi all..

I've recently dived into the world of the DSLR from years of happy snapping on my Lumix. My hobby used to be Mountain Biking but since a horrific MB related injury I've taken to photography and walking up the mountain instead.

To start I bought myself a Nikon D3100 with the kit lens and since got the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm and a 50mm Prime coming next week.

I work in the print industry and I've had plenty of experience with the Adobe products working with Photoshop since version 2 on a Apple Quadra when I was actually paid to scan images on a scanner bigger than a small car to disc arrays bigger the spare wheel but never used Lightbox so it's been fun learning all about RAW format over the past week or so.

Anyway that's my introduction, I'm looking forward to posting and receiving some cc's. I've already spent hours wading through the forum

James

Welcome James to the Camera Labs forum! Try not to injure yourself while out shooting, 'cause you wouldn't want to give up this wonderful hobby!

James,
Welcome to the forum!! Be careful out on the trails and don't give up mtn. biking just yet. I love taking the bike out and stopping to get great shots a long the way. Anyways have fun with the Nikon D3100 and your lenses, shoot often, and may you be blessed with the perfect exposure all the time!
