Hi all,

It's Darren here from sunny old Bedfordshire. YouTube brought me here thanks to many helpful tips from Gordon's videos, namely how to enhance the subject in a photo and the benefits of using polarising filters. I hope I can learn a lot from you guys and share my experiences too. I appreciate good photography but I only consider myself an amateur.

Since October last year, I've been the proud owner of a Canon EOS 550D w/ 18-55mm kit lens (my first DSLR) after 3½ years with an Olympus SP-510UZ.

Welcome on-board Darren, and great choice of username - watchmen was my favourite graphic novel when it came out. I was also lucky enough to meet Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons who signed my first edition novel and separate issues! Ahem, sorry, off topic - back to business!
