Hello everyone,
I’ve only had a point & shoot camera all my life, my current one is a Canon PowerShot SD900 (which always seems to be in my wife’s purse). I sit in my backyard and watch nature to unwind since I’ve planted host & nectar plants to attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
This lead to taking pictures, which lead to quickly discovering the little point & shot wasn’t going to cut it.
In trying to figure out which DSLR to get, I came across CameraLabs just searching the web and kept coming back (probably just before anything was posted about the Canon 7D).
So now I’ve finally purchased a Nikon D90 (haven’t received it yet) and looking forward to learning more about DSLR photography. I know what the terms are and what the mean, like F-stop, ISO, etc., but actually knowing what to pick for a given situation is a whole other story.
I’m looking forward to increasing my knowledge while having fun along the way.
