Well, not really my first, but its my first one Im willing to present.

I've done a lot of photography back in my high school days with my SLR, but since I got my DSLR, I took it with me to the wedding I was filming in between the video, I took some photos

The following was with my E510, at 50mm (100mm equivalent) using the telephoto lens, and with a cokin Warm filter. ISO 200. (I forgot the apeture and shutterspeed I took) It was also at 0.3+ exposure compensation.

What do you guys think? I reduced the size from the original jpeg, so there will be some artifacts if you look carefully(eg, the grooms suit), but the orginal in my computer, thats about 4 times the size of this picture, is really nice to my eyes.

They arent looking at the camera, but I think that this picture has more meaning than any other formal picture I could have taken.

Hi Leo,

Nice shot!

Any chance of dropping the width below the recommended image guideline maximum width of 700 pixels, please,
rather than the current 986 pixels. Given an original image width of 3648 pixels then reducing the size by a factor of 6 gives
your software the best chance of reducing artefacts (no interpolation needed as each square of 6x6 pixels can
be combined) and you end up with a 608 pixel wide shot. Remember that if you want others to see the full-size
original you can always link either via the [url=..][img]..[/img][/url] syntax or via a separate hyperlink.

Looking forward to some more examples of your work.

Im kinda embarrased at my full size, it looks great, but my gosh there is some noise and grain in the picture when you look at it at that size.... Its like I have the image zoomed in all the way. (It doesnt fit my 19" screen)

I think that quality is better when you jam all those normal sized pictures into the size of an original 4z6 photo lol

Yea, its nice. I like this shot. Except that the groom needs a fill-in flash around his eyes.

Hey Leo,

that's a wonderful shot altogether! I can see why you feel this is a more meaningful picture than anything formal - you have successfully captured "a moment" there.

From a strict and rather "unfeeling" perspective, a little more light on the grooms face would improve it. Had you been a foot or two more to the left, the beautiful bride's eyes would have been more visible and it could have conveyed more. Yada yada

You grabbed something that many wedding photographers never mange to do without making it look contrived and posed: intimacy - and of the best kind. This is a real photo and one to be very proud of, I think.

When that young man stumbles across this picture 30 years from now, he will fall in love with his wife all over again. That's the power of photography!
