I currently use Elements 6 and wonder whether it's worthwhile upgrading to Elements 9 ?

Do you *need* the new features introduced after your version? Then get it. If not, don't!

I recently upgraded from 7 to 9, and apart from trying out the new functions I haven't really used them... but don't forget it also allows you to update to newer versions of their raw converter so if you use raw, the recent versions have improved compared to the past.

I have been using PSE 7 happily since it came out, I just recently downloaded a trial version of PSE9 to see if I wanted to make the change.

The short answer for me was . . . yes. I am going to make the upgrade as soon as my 30 trial ends. The two points that sealed the deal for me were a simple improvement to sharing images on Facebook and Flickr.

In PSE9 there is a share tab that lets you directly upload images from PSE9 to Facebook and Flickr. This feature really streamlines the sharing process for me and made the upgrade an easy decision. This feature may or may not be important to you, there are some other improvements that have been made as well.

My advice is head to Adobe and download a 30 day trial of PSE9 and see if it would be of benefit to you to make the upgrade. If not you can just uninstall version 9 and go back to what you were using.
