It's a great shot, mine is of water too. I would think water is translucent. Of course the water in my shot are such small droplettes I don't know if it counts.

As far as I'm concerned it counts. that is actually my favorite of the current bunch, but all awesome submissions, already getting material I wasn't expecting to see.

Well, I am in! :) Good shots so far from everyone. Dunno how well I will do but we will see! I had fun doing this shot by the way. Something new I can put down into my list of "common photos" I have done.

Could someone please confirm the required image size ?

I read in the guidelines that the max for the assignment was 500 max on any side.

Thanks

The rules from the submissions thread:
Quote:
The rules!

1: You can only submit one image and it MUST be taken during December 2010. Photos taken earlier will be disqualified!

2: All images submitted must be no more than 1024 pixels* on their longest side, although you can include a link to a full resolution version if you like. Flickr users must link back to the original version to comply with its latest rules.

Ok thanks -I read this in the"On Assignment" - "How to post pics " and got a bit sidetracked - maybe this thread could do with an update.

Oh and is photobucket ok to use?

And please don't forget:
Images in the "On Assignment" section
must not exceed 500 PIXELS
in any dimension! ! !

The other sections allow up to 1024 pix...

Those are from old assignments. Look at the current one for current rules.

Photobucket works fine for me :)

Hi Niknak,

Well spotted. I thought I'd got all the references to our old pixel size limit for the On Assignment threads but that one escaped me. Duly removed.

As always, please check each month's On Assignment submissions thread's initial post for any variations in the normal rules.

Bob.

@ KevinM sorry for the late reply, I didnt check this thread until today.

The shot is of freezing rain on a window. The rain would freeze on contact with the window for a few minutes allowing for a few shots then would melt or change as it continued to rain.
