Define "lots"? Every camera degrades as the ISO setting gets higher. If you need ultra-clean images you need to keep the ISO low or use noise reduction and resulting possible sharpness loss.
ALO might increase noise in shadow areas. Highlight priority mode will increase noise too as it is in effect underexposing the shot and recovering in post.
