Sorry Bjorn. I will remember next time. Also what is meant really meant by the term translucent. I know that translucent means see through but not allowing detail through. But how can you refer this to photography?

You could take someone's portrait through glass (such that the person is blurred a bit). Just find something that you can see through, snap away, and share!

keystrokesuk, I for one, vote photos not watermarks. That watermark is huge & affects the elements of the photo...why did you put that? there's millions of photos with ice on the internet,without watermarks.

The definition of translucence I intended was any medium that light can pass through.

ex: silhouettes against a curtain, ice, sun-lit leaves, bubbles, anything with water, etc

Razvan, my Smugmug account puts the watermarks on for every photo I upload the only problem is I cannot customise the position and intensity of the watermark for each shot, I will post a non watermarked version when I get a chance.

No you don't pay to remove them, I just usually upload them to a gallery that has auto watermarking turned on, so I have to manually remove them.
