Three weeks ago I bought a set of RF-602 triggers consisting of one transmitter and two receivers. Unfortunately one of the triggers was defective and would not pass the sync signal through the hotshoe or the cable port, so I contacted the seller and he agreed to send me a new receiver unit. Today, the new receiver unit arrived; I tested it with an old speedlight and it worked alright.

One hour later I decide to do some test shots with both yn560 and the new triggers. I instantly notice that one of the 560's fires as soon as I put it in the hotshoe but doesn't recharge until I take it off the hotshoe, and the first trigger doesn't work at all. :(

Hi Timmy,

Do you have the flash & receiver set to ON when you attach them together? I am told that doing so can damage the contacts. Have you tried using the PC-Sync port instead of the hotshoe?

Generally, only the receiver is on, because it's difficult to reach the switch when the speedlight is mounted. But I've done this a hunder times with other receivers (including RF602's) and never affected the triggers nor the flash. I also tried using the pc-sync port to no avail :(
