Just move to Sydney, so its given me some inspiration to get out with my camera again and try some new things.

@AL
Hi, thanks for the comment and sorry for replying so late)
It didn't take any time to build them like that. I just took the ice out of my freezer and piled cubes on each other.
An interesting thing is an effect a match produced: while waving fire behind ice cubes they started to melt a little and some water started drippling down a bit. After I put down the match and finished the shot I found out the ice cubes froze together and really formed a solid tower )
It gave me an idea for another shot: Melting ice, it could be some fun experimenting with.

PS really like thestig's sorceress girl)

@Dr.Mcq

How are you enjoying Hali? I spent 4 months there in 2005. Beautiful city. Where was this shot taken?

OK everyone, I'm dying to share the shot that didn't work :P

Image

For larger size as requested below: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/f_4qnAnq0fGC2QtpI-UaYg?feat=directlink

I went to Monterey and San Francisco over the holiday, and thought that these boats at a dock were perfect; the water was so still that it didn't occur to me that the boats were still moving on the water! Haha. So the dock is in perfect focus and the boats are all blurry. It makes me a little seasick even :)

Phil, I was wondering if you were going to enter this month with one of your great night shots, this one is unique. So many good contenders for honors this month , difficult to choose. :?

Cheers
