Ooh, the voting was close! I shortlisted those two too, but naniani got my vote. Still, congrats to djfsolo!

Now that voting is over, there's something I've been bottling up a little while. I learnt a lesson here. Be ultra precise when writing on the internet! I guess I was insufficiently clear but my original intent was a black(ish) subject in light, not blackness induced purely by darkness, and there were quite a lot of entries in the latter area. But since that only arose after submissions hit, I thought I'd just leave things and see how it turned out, after all it is by vote so it depends on how voters interpret the theme too.

Now, if I can stop myself from doing lousy last minute entries...

[drum roll] The theme for December is... [/drum roll]

Translucence, as suggested by djfsolo:

I would like the theme for December to be translucence. As in the primary subject of the image must have translucent qualities. So long as the content of the image isn't 100% opaque, its game.

No extreme post-processing i.e. selective color, image combinations/alterations.

So, time to start coming up with some ideas now, let's get a lot of entries in this December!
