"However, there seems to be a serious negative to his SLT cameras:
While the camera is shooting at 10fps, the viewfinder seems to remain blank."

Not true. Here is a demonstration of 10 fps.

Yes it's slide show but the previous shot is only 1/10 sec behind

It's a myth that more megapixels necessarily means worse noise performance

No, not the A55, believe it or not, it's not around here in NZ yet, but I have had the A33 as you know, and hope to return to it soon to complete my review.

While the camera is shooting at 10fps, the viewfinder seems to remain blank. So, until the burst is complete, you have no idea of what you are looking at.

As OneGuy noted above, and just to confirm - the camera does indeed display a series of the last image taken, so you get a series of flickered shots that are roughly 1 frame off - I couldn't tell you whether or not it would be sufficient to replace OVF during burst shooting as I haven't tried it - but it doesn't go blank.

Also, later the camera needs about 50 seconds to process the burst. Though this may vary from card to card,

Apparently it varies extremely widely from card to card - using the Sony Memorystick Pro Duo HG, it apparently takes roughly 14 seconds to clear the buffer, according to current users of the camera in 10fps mode. That's a massive difference from 50 seconds. So apparently the card is crucial.[/quote]

Thanks for the photoclubalpha review. I guess I am sold.
(Well, I won't get it for Christmas this year, spent bit too much on Apple gears.)

Sorry everyone, my A33 report might not be completed now as it's proving hard to get hold of another sample at the moment.
