These two started the weekend in great style.

The image is a stack of 3 photos with Canon MP-E 65mm @ 3x and F/7.1, stacked manual in GIMP sofware trough a layer work.

The male spiders usually die? Talk about a femme fatale... and that size difference! :shock:

Kantian, often times the female spider will kill and eat the male after mating. Guess this guy got pretty lucky!

yup. they usually give themselves to the female as to provide for his seed.

did the female take the sperm out after the male got away? they sometimes do this if they don't eat the male.
