Hello all,

I've been lurking in the background for about a month now since purchasing my EOS 1000D and watching the tutorial videos trying to pick up a few things. Being totally clueless when it comes to all things DSLR related, I signed up to a photography course. 2 lessons later and I've realised I'm just started my ascent on a very steep learning curve :?

Anyway, my fav pic so far is of my pooch, her name is Chewbacca and she is the subject of my first task for the class.

G'day Chopper.

Another Aussie here. Welcome to Camera Labs.

The best thing about digital cameras is that you are not paying for film. So if you stuff up, just delete the photo and take another one. In fact, take heaps of photos.

Ask any questions you may have and they will be answered.

As you will already know, Google is your friend. Do a search on YouTube as well because there are heaps of tutorials there as well. :D

The only stupid question is the question that is not asked.

Thanks all,

I've found the search button a very useful tool and I'm far from the stage of asking questions that haven't already been asked and answered.
