Hi! First post here for me. =)

Nikon D200, 17mm, 1/500, f11, iso 100.

The tamron is the only lens I have that goes as wide as 17mm, and I think it performs quite well there, and at the rest of the range too actually. So far, if a picture turns out badly, it's my fault and not the lens.

D200, 38mm, 1/400 f8, iso 100.

I just bought this lens the other day, loving it so far.

Un-processed, Un-cropped:

Image

Camera Nikon D200
Exposure 0.001 sec (1/800)
Aperture f/2.8
Focal Length 17 mm
ISO Speed 100

You can see the obvious vignetting in the upper corners, But from 24mm - 50mm I've not noticed any. I've used it for portraits too and found it very sharp:

Image

Camera Nikon D200
Exposure 0.01 sec (1/100)
Aperture f/5.6
Focal Length 38 mm
ISO Speed 100
Bounced flash off ceiling

Basic processing on this one, bumped the black levels and contrast and a touch of sharpening was all I did.

My 50mm could well end up redundant.
