Gordon,

I'd love to support one of your vendors but would like to know how their warranty claim process works and who supplies/backs the extended warranties :?:

I'm tempted to use the big box store down the road but would really like to use one of your vendors if I can be assured of top-notch warranty processing.

The warranties from Adorama are supplied by Mack; You can visit www.mackcam.com for more in-depth details on their individual programs.

It is also worth you taking a note of the contact details of Desiree, the Customer Relations Supervisor for Mack; she can answer any specific questions regarding the warranties and can be reached via email at helpdesk@mackcam.com

If you call Mack's 800# they will tell you where to send your unit for warranty service, even overseas.

Adorama offers a 30-day returns period on everything - new, used, refurbs and demos. After that, if purchasing new, you would contact Canon directly. The Mack warranty kicks in after the manufacturer's warranty is through.

Personally, I have only ever had to assist one customer who was experiencing problems getting a situation resolved with a warranty claim.
I actually bought a Mack International warranty myself just a few weeks ago along with a camera that I wanted for a relative outside of the US - so I guess I trust them with my own money!

If you buy a film camera, speedlight or lens from B&H Photo and it's listed as US (i.e., not "grey market") your product should be reciprocally warranted by your local authorized manufacturer's warranty facility. If you buy an IMP (i.e., "grey market") product it is warranted by B&H Photo in New York.

Our extended warranties are supplied by Sagemax, a division of NEW.

It's worth mentioning Nikon USA prohibits authorized American retailers from shipping any Nikon digital slr to any address outside the USA. Their rules, not ours.
