not an experienced guy here but in my opinion sky is way too saturated on 1st one, blown on second(a bit distracting)

i like the 3rd picture but that electricity grid pole just takes my eyes of the train, also you could do a bit noise down on the sky

I agree with Bakica. I think the first 2 shots are overexposed. Also the lighting on the first shot is too harsh, but much nicer on the second. I'm assume the second shot was taken later in the day (or earlier in the morning)?

The 3rd shot looks overprocessed - like a pseudi HDR which has increased noise.

Also, consider the front on the train as its 'face', then consider if you'd want an electricity pole sticking out of someone's face/head in a photo. I think this is what Bakica was getting at. I'd suggest taking the shot with the train 10 metres back would improve the composition as the 2 poles in the forground would be nicely framing the train's face instead of cutting behind it.

Panasonic G3: 9-18mm, 14mm, 20mm, 45mm

In the first photo, I think you should have gotten in much closer to the train. The car on the right side and the fence and sign in the foreground are uninteresting and unrelated to your subject.

When you took the second photo, what was to the left of what you've shown here? I know you wanted train photos (by the title of the thread). But it seems the sky is totally washed out and more or less uninteresting, and I think the telephone wires take away a little from the photo. The grass in the bottom left quarter of the photo is the most interesting part of it, and I wonder if you could have gotten the camera really low to the ground and recomposed the picture to get a sweeping shot of this field of grass with the tire tracks (and without the overexposed sky or wires).

Just a couple of thoughts.

yup I'll agree with the above comments.
But I do like the 3rd shot... the feeling of the train escaping the up coming bad weather.

Try to select a better WB and play with your AV level -21ll0ll1ll2+

So in 1 photo i should taked the photo with -2 EV exp compensation?
