All your pictures are so darn clear and sharp. What are your secrets?
Do you always carry along the tripod and set the shutter on timer?

Lol - thanks for the comments. Well I guess the lenses are helping. The Nikkor 24-70 F2.8 is pretty sharp from wide open and really tack sharp from F4. The Carl Zeiss 35mm is as sharp at F2 as the 24-70 in its best range of F4-F8, and just gets better from F2.8 down.

I can't remember the shutter speeds on these but there's no danger of any blurring from camera shake.

I don't think the results are purely attributed to the sharpness of the lenses though. The microcontrast on both are good, but exceptional on the Carl Zeiss.

Obviously with the 10 stop shots I was using the tripod as the shutter speed easily runs into seconds. If I'm using the tripod, I'll use a combination of remote cable release, delayed timer and exposure delay. If you're shooting a scene where you're not trying to catch changing light or a moving subject in a particular part of the scene, this definitely gets the best results.

Then in PP, a little unsharp masking brings things out a little more.

Yeah, that is the same me. Newbie. I will try to post more. At the moment, still toying with my first DSLR. Only have 18-55mm to play with at the moment.
