I didn't take these but my gear did.
I just set it up for someone else,I'm at the wheel training a new fella in rough water ...

He still needed a bit more training about going along with the sea and running into the backs of waves.
Yes there is a zodiac and both of us in this pic...lol

Thanks Sue

Those are only split second shots.
It consists mainly of many hours of WAITING for something to happen, usually something bad for someone, and short periods of all heck breakin loose.

Been off work since Oct 31st with a pinched nerve in my back....
hmmm heavy weather training related maybe??
No it wasn't but happy to report I got the OK to return to work hopefully week after next.
My fingers are crossed thats when it will be anyway.

Here's a couple HDR's. The first is taken a few km from where I grew up - a small inshore fishing community in Ochre Pit Cove, Newfoundland, Canada.

The second is taken further up the shore in Harbour Grace, Newfoundland. This vessel was built in 1913 in England for Newfoundland as a costal ferry. Its captain was the youngest captain in North America to receive a captains ticket. After 54 years of service, a winter storm ran it aground to its final resting place. The vessel has become an icon to both Harbour Grace and the early Newfoundland costal fleet. in 1997 the vessel was repainted to its original colors
