So, here comes my first review.

Today my adapter arrived, and I began to use it directly. As you can read in my signature, I got some older MD lenses, and Im buying the legendary 50mm 1,7 and 135mm 2,8 too.

The Minolta MD-Eos adapter is an adapter to use old MD lenses from Minolta on Eos bodies. Since I had some older lenses I was interested in them. There are 2 adapters availeble: With and without glass. The one with the glass makes infinity focus possible. That's the one I bought.

The adapter is made of metal, all is metal. Even the bajonets are metal.
It feels sure.

The adapter seems to work like a small tele converter, and the MFD is something further away than I was used to. No problem, I love tele.
Of course, since the lenses are MF, you cant AF with the camera.


Well, in the adapter is a piece of glass to make infinity focus possible. Before I bought it, I knew this would cause worse IQ from my lenses than I should think.
But, the adapter with glass doesnt seem to give negative IQ to me, my favourite, the Sigma 80-200, stopped down to 5,6, is suprisingly sharp.
When stopped down to F/8 the pictures are sharp on my 350D.
I dont know about the overall contrast since I only have used the MD lenses on Minolta film bodies. It doesnt have really contrastful pictures, but I shoot in RAW, so that could be the ''problem''. The contrast and colours are the same as on the 18-55 II.

Overall Im really happy with this new adapter. Instead of buying nice lenses with AF, I now can use my old MF lenses, and Im buying the 50mm and 135mm too. Total this costs me around 60$, I dont want to know how much I should have to pay when I bought this lenses with AF and new...
