Rather than yet-another-flower-shot I thought I'd go a bit closer to the erm... these bits on the flower head?

Indeed it is very interesting. You took a little different approach to ordinary flower photography, I like it! Colours are very nice, have you thought about submitting it to this month's assignment contest?
