Like most I was pretty blown away with the 3D imagery in Avatar so in a world where, as I write, there are more 3D capable TV sets on the market than 3D Blu-ray titles to play on them I guess we should be grateful that Panasonic has added two new options for creating 3D imagery.
The first is the HDC-SDT750 camcorder. The press release is

The second, and arguably of more interest to members here, is "new compact 3D-capable interchangeable lens". The
press release doesn't even specify the focal length. Here's what it looks like:
Quite how much of a 3D effect one is going to get on anything much further away than the tip of Pinocchio's nose remains to be seen with the two lenses so close together. It's expected to be available later this year.
