The wild ones are mostly a matter of getting out there. They're often found around flowers so with a macro lens and a little patience you can get some too.

You may be able to cross-eye view this one - but a stereoviewer held up against the screen gives a really nice result.

Interesting result... although for correct depth direction, you need to un-cross your eyes (i.e. look at infinity or beyond). Was that two cameras? Two shots? Or one of those mirror adapter things?

A mirror adapter thing.

It's blowing a gale outside which doesn't make for easy macrophotography at f#20 - but here's what the second outing of the 5D MkII caught.

I'll surely need a macro lens. I love that!
Could you recomend something for my 50D that may get that magnification?
If it won't get me into trouble with my friendly banker(again :-)) that'l be a bonus. When I was younger (25 year ago, I was doing macos but using extension tubes or belows) Now I'm completly out of the loop and I don't know what's the current state of tech in this field.

All the macro images were taken with a Canon 100mm macro lens (the old model, not the new image stabilised version). I think it is a truly superb lens which performed well on the Canon 40D, and is just as sharp on the 5D MkII.
