A shipwreck thats been lying on a local shoreline for a couple of years now, its takes a continual pounding from the sea and the elements!
Taken mid afternoon on a beautifully sunny day. (Yes the sky was really that blue! :D )

Image

Camera Model: Canon EOS 7D
Lens and focal length: EF-S18-55mm @27mm
Aperture: f8
Shutter Speed: 1/500

Woo hoo! I finally have something relevant to an assignment. I was at the beach a week ago and saw this.

Image

Nikon EM with 50mm f/1.8 on ISO 400 film
Forgive me, I lost track of shutter speed and aperture.
I shot it on color film then converted it to black and white.

Couldn't help but smile. Fungi decomposes--destroys.

Had to photograph the the ironically 'destroyed decomposition.'

It took me some time to decide whether this work fits the rules of the month - but I decided to post it anyway...

This work is 7 shots in 1. With theme being - destruction of photography by this jumpy fly :). Since 95% of my shots of this fly were blurry and "in motion" and it was really hard to get a still shot - first time ever I have encountered such an active fly. Not sure what set it off - either sound of shutter, or external flash or just my rude personality :)

Image

Full size

Tech: Canon 400D + Tokina 100mm + Speedlite 430 II
Aperture: f7.1
Shutter Speed: 1/200-1/800 (for different shots)
ISO400

Post processing: cropping and combining all shots in 1 big one + some levels and color balance for evening out the shots....

Hope you like it!
