A friend recently hooked his best salmon to date.
Being a catch & release fisherman only he quickly setup his p/s pocket camera on a rock with selftimer and took a few while wrangling gently this fish and then releasing it....
Well...he at least has the memory of the catch but the pics are not what he wanted.
Myself I am not much for working pics much but he asked if there was anything that could be done.

Is there?

Yes and no...

The image could be sent to an graphic designer/illustrator to fill in the blown out regions with an artists photo realistic rendition.

The image as it is is irrecoverable IF the file is only the jpeg you've uploaded. If it is a raw file, there may be hope. The problem is that the highlights have been blown out to Red, Green, Blue all equal to 255. There would be a chance if one of the channels was not blown out.

Not bad Agun!
Perhaps smooth/blur/clone the sky a bit for extra smoothness (or replace it alltogether).

Absolutely no worries of that from here/me or Matt (pic owner) Bramsey 89.
If I could do it I would but I'm not much for photoshopping things and don't claim to be.
Kinda the reason for posting it and asking to see what is possible really.
Have at er :D

Lookin good agun :P
