I think that would work on a winner that won by 1 vote, but when a winner wins by a clear majority its not such an issue...

By the way, when I won I did not vote for me 8)

@AL

True, but I just find it odd being a judge at your own race. Its like grading your own school work, I know I'd always give myself an "A" lol. (By the way I did vote for my own submission, and I regret it)

@james09

I agree.....

and admire your honesty as well. Guilt got the better of me to vote for my own post, epsecially if had won by 1 vote!

He he oh well.

Hey do any of you (fellow bloggers) shoot film?
I only shoot film. Nothing wrong with digital, I just don't have a digital body. Yet.

Even in a large city there are small communities...even buried in work, I'm going to get something submitted!

The options for this month are endless. A fruit or vegetable stand, a local ball club, a local diner, a bar with friends, LOVE this months theme! Where are all the photogs? Even in a large city there are small communities...even buried in work, I'm going to get something submitted!

Do you think that as this is a competition, listing a load of photo ideas is not a good idea, :lol:

Now if someone does a photo that happens to be one of your suggestions, you and others will think they just took your ideas, when it may have been their idea all along.... Sort of stolen their thunder! :wink:

Sorry AL, my intention is not to steal anyone's thunder, so to speak. Being that at mid-month there were only 3 submissions due in part I suspect to a lot of photographers living in urban areas, I wanted to encourage, NOT discourage. As far as this being a competition, that it is, but a "friendly" competition. Try to keep that in mind.

I do agree with AL, when I see an idea posted, it means I will not use it, even if I had it in mind as I would not want people to think I used their idea.

I agree it is a friendly competition

All I am trying to say is part of the fun of the competition is being surprised by peoples ideas and takes on the subject, if we all listed our ideas it just takes the edge off it a bit.

I have also noticed there are not many posts, I have seen that on previous assignments then suddenly in the last week of the month loads of people load up pictures. I have been thinking of all sorts of ideas (one of which you listed and I have dropped now as a result because I want to be original).

You are encouraging and it is nice of you to try and help, thank you 8) It is the thought that counts

Ahhh good,.. positive signs since I last checked in and the lone frontier outpost of this month's 'on assignment' has grown into a small prospecting community of fine photos. Still need some more though - please don't let me be the first pillock to choose a topic that gets a low hit-count - keep 'em coming folks!

This month assignment is a toughie, which i guess others may also feel. Tomorrow i am hoping to go visit a few villages nearby in the hope that i can submit something, what makes this even tougher is i shall have my young granddaughter in tow, so i probably wont be able to spend as long as i would like snapping away, and i will need all my energy chasing her on her little scooter. :lol:
