Hi guys! Some really awesome shots so far.

AL, if you think the PP on my submission is too extreme, I'm happy to submit to your authority as last month's winner and submit something else :)

Thanks!!! The woods/forest in your pic looks creepy. I'd hate to be there at night, lol.

Closed already??

I thought I'd still have an hour or two at least...I was just about to submit a photo (it's only 9pm here). Oh well, c'est la vie.

No worries!

I missed the GMT bit because I was looking at the general rules thread thread and not the first post of the submission thread.

Popo, I imagine that would be a difficult shot to come across or you were lucky with the cam in hand, the natural destruction certainly fulfils this month's topic, love the shot, you got me.

Cheers

Thanks. I deliberately went looking for bugs to macro yesterday with the new angle finder, which I didn't end up using at all. Feeding bugs tend to be more interested in that than running away, so I do try to look for those. I actually wanted to get dragonflies (as opposed to damselflies) but they wouldn't stay still for even a moment. Got more from the set I need to post sometime...

Hi all,
May I say that I find the monthly assignment hard to take seriously.
I thought originally the competition was honest and the entrants had integrity. Not to point any fingers but times have changed. Aside voting for yourself, getting others( your mates to sign up and vote) to vote for you is a sham. Please if you enter, do it for the best of reasons.

In case of liable this is all ALLEGED of course. :)

Hi Mano, I think the July competition was chosen by the May winner. In the short time I have been involved this has always been the case. If it takes a month to decide the winner for the month just ended, then it makes sense that they can't chose the topic for the month in which judging is still taking place.

John, unless you have some means of seeing who voted for what, I am baffled by your comments. I understood that voting was open to all members of the Cameralabs forums, and not just to those who entered.

Why do you think people are doing the things you allege?
