Hi everyone!
I'm Mike from Traverse City Michigan and I enjoy photography. My friend really got me into it and showed me a lot you can do with photography.

I did my research and finally bought my first DSLR a couple of days ago, the Sony Alpha 330.

I am enrolled at Northwestern Michigan College majoring in Audio Production. Our campus is great for nature / wildlife photography, which is my favorite.

I enjoy photography because it gets me outdoors...a lot!!

P.S. This site is just fantastic, I absolutely love watching the videos and learning more!

How I love the English language! You certainly wouldn't be calling yourself a "member" in the UK; please don't mention your "fanny pack" either - that may raise a few titters :wink:

Anyway, congratulations with your new purchase and don't forget to post away your efforts in the forum - this is one of the friendliest photo forums I've come across...

Ahh, yes the massive difference of our language. Very fascinating indeed.

I will post pictures as soon as I get the chance to shoot as I have a job that prevents from all day shooting. Soon though!!
