Any one got any ides as to when the A7xx will be with us? 'Cause I'm getting a £1700 grant when I go to uni for getting 320 UCAS points, and said grant will be the only way I could possibly get any photography equipment for the next three years. I really want video capability.

Having said that I think some decent lighting equipment would be a better buy...

Well, some people say that it won't be for 2010. Then again, they showed a mock-up at PMA and I can hardly believe it would take them that long...especially as the mock-up was pretty much finished (design wise, I'd say), with only a couple of knobs and switches that must be added. And if you think about the A700...how long has it been since it was officially discontinued ?
