Sorry if this has been covered before, but it has got me so annoyed I honestly would jump ship to Nikon right now if I had the cash... (And if Nikon had in body image stabilisation).

I am looking into off camera flash as I have been contacted to do a friends wedding, now, I'm thinking I may well need some decent lighting equipment, but oh wait, my hotshoe is different....

I was thinking, get a stand and an umbrella and use the pop up flash to trigger the my flash gun, but thanks to the non standard hotshoe even that has complications as I cannot attatch my flash to the stand.

So, how do you guys handle off camera flash??

Thanks in advance, Sam.

Metz flash and that hotshoe will make a a great start to a studio.

I do it, pretty much only use a metz 45 flash.

Hotshoes can be found on ebay, you will need a sony one becuase the hotshoe mount is thinner than canon & nikon

I use the flash stand that came with the Sony GN58 Flash. It fits well with my light stand (or any tripod).
