Hello, my name is Ray and I am just getting into photography.
Bought a Canon T1i about a week ago and have actually taken a few decent pictures ( a LOT of not so great). But I am slowly learning from my mistakes as to what I was doing wrong. I would rather learn from my mistakes than to shoot on auto all the time. It was tempting, but so far have refrained from full auto setting.
Thanks to all the nice folks and the great advice and tips I have seen on here today and look forward to learning alot more.Image[/img]

Gordans tutorials have been fantastic.
He really does a nice job explaining things and I have learned quite a bit from them.
Thanks.

Welcome Ray to the Camera Labs forum! It's great to hear you're not shooting full auto and experimenting with the things a DSLR can do! Have fun!
