Camera Model: Olympus E-510
Lens and focal length: Zuiko 40-150mm @77mm
Aperture: f/5.3
Shutter Speed: 1/100
Sensitivity: ISO 400

Post processing: Levels and selective B&W in GIMP.

This is from one of the gardens around Lake Burley-Griffin, in Canberra. I'm still very much a learner, so there are a couple of things that I could have done better; if you go into pixel-peeping mode some of the bottom leaves aren't totally in focus, so a larger aperture would have helped with that and also preserved a little more detail in the background. Still, I'm pretty happy with this as a second go at On Assignment :)

Canon 7D at ISO 2500
EF-S 15-85 IS USM
f5.6 at 1/160

Last light of a very grey day (hence the camera's auto selection of the high ISO setting)
This old mainline rail carriage is an exhibit in a museum dedicated to preservation of such artifacts. Sadly, the museum appears to be losing the race. I'm guessing that interested volunteers are also on the downhill side of decay :-(

The car that crashed into my grandmother's (who's completely fine) car:

Image

Camera: 450D
Lens: 18-200mm @ 24mm
Aperture: f/8.0
Shutter speed : 1/200
ISO: 100
PP: Slight crop

I guess it's ok that I haven't blurred the number plate since it's bent and doesn't show all the numbers

The wonderful colours of rust and corrosion on a barb of wire, decorated with strands of gossamer thread by a passing spider. :D Sue

Resistance to dissolve and decay.

Camera Model: Nikon D80
Lens and focal length: Nikkor 35mm f2
Aperture: f2.8
Shutter Speed: 1/60 sec
Sensitivity: 160 ISO
Post processing: Probably a little more than others, but really all I did was increase the blacks, the red and green channels, and put in vignetting. No big deal ;)
