UPDATE 15 JUNE 2010!

We're planning on producing a cameralabs branded version of the Optech utility strap, here:

http://www.optechusa.com/product/detail ... CT_SUB_ID=

It'll be black with the Cameralabs logo and shutter icon in white.

Here's a mockup to give you an idea of how it should look - note the logo may be slightly smaller on the real thing.

I need to figure out locations and numbers - if you're interested in buying a Cameralabs / OPTech strap, please vote for your region in the new poll here.

Thanks!

Gordon

Put me as a maybe, but if I did, I'd go for black.

Not sure on the difference between regular and loop straps. The standard one looks like the flat friction method commonly used. The loop more like a compact hand strap method. Is that right? Just wondering how that might affect handling.

Having been looking at Optech straps myself, I welcome the initiative. I'd go for the loop strap, I like my camera strap hanging around freely when not in use. Also the one dollar wasn't too bad.

If you can offer one for a reasonable price (/shipping) I will buy one, to replace my thin D90 strap. :)

+1 for the pro loop in black :)

I'd get a black pro strap, not the one with loops. Camera Labs red would also be okay.

Currently I have 3 straps, so little chance of buying another one.
BUT, I may be interested in the CAMERA LABS logo/name that I can have sawn on to my existing camera bag strap.

I could see myself buying one of those, absolutely. It obviously comes down to price but unless it's ridicolously expensive I'd buy one. If nothing else to support a great site.

I would buy one - I've been thinking about getting a padded strap to replace the strap that came with my camera for a while now.

Either loop option is fine with me, and any of the dark or neutral colors (black, navy, forest green, steel) are good.

Just a little side-note (a mod going off topic? :o ):
There's also the option of getting some Camera Labs PVC rubber labels, such as these. Not too expensive, shipping would be very inexpensive, and it can be attached to anything by a simple needle and thread: bags, straps, shirts, underwear...

Maybe give away the strap to anyone who buys stuff through the amazon link.

Or though this might be complicated and unprofitable.

Of course, the strap should say CAMERALABS.COM to get more traffic into the site.

Or though I think a zazzle store might be more profitable.

My merchandise suggestion: a shirt that has a quote on the front that says: "to prove that I'll wiggle my fingers in front of the lens" Then a cameralabs logo on the back.
