Hi there,

I have one of the Canon entry level bodies and am not too happy with the strap it comes with.

The reason is that sometimes I want the strap to be attached and sometimes I don’t. However, replacing the strap is neither fast nor easy – i.e. too much kerfuffle to do it on a regular basis.

Can anybody recommend a strap with something like a quick and easy clip-on facility or similar. I had a look on the web and found a few (e.g. Lowepro Speedster, R-Strap), but would interested to hear some opinions and recommendations first.

I'm quite happy with my Lowe pro strap, but the Optech ones are considered some of the best - that's why they're in our accessory guide, here:

I've finally ordered an R-Strap. It looks like a cool concept and I'm curious how it will perform in practice.

I may still order an Optech and give it a try. After all, straps are not that expensive and won't get out of date
