Brian, you've got to lose the descriptive text... It's a crutch too many of us rely on and it's not allowed by the rules this month!

Thanks Plymer, done. Apologies, I skim read the rules and was mislead by "Please include a sentence or two with your photo describing what you were trying to achieve and if there were any particular challenges in doing so... "
regards
Brian

pgtips - What a lovely picture!!! Well done....

I was going to take a photo of my 19 month old daughter with my huge sennheiser head phones on! She does this open mouthed expression when I put them on which would have looked good.

Some great pics there. Sorry to point this out though but in fairness to all those who have followed the rules, just now three of the submissions aren't following the 500 pixel longest edge rule and they should be adjusted. A general editing and presentation maxim and presumably the reasoning behind one of the two hard rules of the competition is that it can make a significant difference to the relative impact of an image when it is presented in a larger format to others, even a small increase.

thestig2010's photo reminds me of many an afternoon when I was a kid spent making the same gesture to passing trucks heading on the route over to Ireland. The blast of an air horn seemed like the most important thing in the world back then.

Mikeroch - looking at your setup photo just wondering if you had also planned what to say in the first few seconds if the wife had come back in the middle of testing it out. Without knowing the elaborate reasoning behind the setup, it would probably look like you'd gone completely potty.

Love that shot Palakaboy. That's a powerful image - I can hear the noise in your subject's head. And a beautifully made picture.
