Had a go at some still lifes quickly, not overly pleased with the results, any ideas how I could improve them? I'm still on the learning curve, so any tips would be appreciated!

The paperweight shot isn't showing for some reason. Probably my internet though that's messing things up...

Composition on the battery shot is quite nice, and the light comes in at a good angle. Even though I'm not at all the kinda person who's bothered by a little noise, for still lifes like the battery shot, I'd recommend using a lower ISO value. The shadows have quite some grain in them, and for a studio-like set-up, that's not necessary...

Not a bad first attempt though! Practise makes perfect.

Not sure why the paperweight isn't showing, I'll have another go at uploading when I get home tonight. As for the ISO on the battery, I tried to be a bit arty farty by using a really high value, although it clearly wasn't too successful
Thanks for the comment
