Bungee taken at Surfers Paradise Gold Coast. The day was cloudy and the sun directly above the jumpers for a blown out sky. These guys also travelled at great speeds after jumping and out of heaps of shots, only a couple of them where in the frame, I took lots of shots of the sky only, AF-C was to slow so I used AF-A.

(FOR FULL SIZED)
Camera Model: D40
Lens and focal length: 35mm 1.8
Aperture: F14
Shutter Speed: 30 seconds
Sensitivity: ISO 400
Post processing: Cropped, contrast enhanced in lightroom 2.0.

I took this while being driven around by my girlfriend. I've always loved long blurry night pics, and I accidentally set the exposure to take a 30 second shot, but it turned out nice in my opinion, and very motion-y. BTW. I placed the camera on the dash, and other than darkening up the picture a bit, this is what came out.

Photo taken during companies basketball championship 2010. (Different companies playing against each other).

Current capture is not the best from photographic point of view, but it represents the theme of the assignment quite good, in my opinion :)

Aperture: f/8
Shutter Speed: 1/500s

I nickname this one superduck, as it looks like it is really flying with the "speed lines" behind it. Actually they're just well positioned reflections.

21ST MAY - POLLS CLOSED - WE HAVE A WINNER!

A landslide victory for AL in this month's contest, dominating the proceedings with no fewer than 27% of the votes. A hearty congratulations to AL in first position, followed by Naniani in second place and lost2212x, mikeroch and sl545 in joint third place.

As always, the winner gets to choose the theme for next month's assignment, so over to you AL: you have until the end of May, or preferably sooner, to post your theme and any conditions in the April Comments and Suggestions thread.
