10mm was wide, but 8... I wanna see it on a 1.6x crop!

I don't think it is out yet. Expect it to be like 10mm but wider :P

Ooh. The few places I've seen it at in UK only list it as pre-order, with most not even mentioning it at all yet. Pre-order pricing here is silly... ooh, just looked, the pre-order seems to be listing at SRP so street prices should be much more sane after it is widely available.

That would make a great add on to me after my tele lens is bought this summer. My only problem with it is that the aperture only is 4,5-5,6, I would like a bigger one...

I think a wide aperture on a ultra-wide is not very useful,unless you're doing creative portraits

Wide open is very usable when there's not a lot of light. Your depth of field is still acceptably large. :)

Still, I find that 10mm F/4 is still good, even on an outdated body like my D2H.
