I got a keylogger infection and need to format (I like to be safe).

May as well buy Win7 now instead of in a few months and save myself another reformat.

This means 100€ less (home premium 64bit) in my "first dslr" pile of money. :(

I'm running Ultimate 64. I haven't run into any issues with software, but my USB headset sounds like crap.

I did have a single BSOD about 3 months after installing. It seems to have fixed itself, and I never even bothered to look at the log.

Also, check if windows 7 compatible drivers are available for your printer, webcam, etc.

I didn't check my (old) printer and now I can't use it with my main computer.

I solved this by using an old computer as a print server on my lan.

Must report that my first assessment of what works: "Paint Shop Pro 7 (apart form screen capture!)", was not complete:
There is trouble with different fonts and rotation of fonts that terminated Paint Shop Pro 7.
So this old program seems not to be fully functional under Win7.

I still use PSP7 regularly on Win7-64 and haven't come across any major problems or any crashes with it. The only thing was the lack of a graphical element in tool boxes which don't show up in Win7 interface, but they're still there and clickable just like on XP. I only do that as a one time job as I don't like self hiding boxes. I just quickly tried the text tool (as vector) and rotated it a bit, no problems.

Well, it doesn't always crash, popo.
But it was often enough to annoy me yesterday.

I don't use any of those alternatives in the poll. I use Windows 7 Enterprise Edition X64 :p but its exactly like ultimate, but for large corporations and universities. I for mine for €3 only :)
