What happens if there is a tie? Not that I really care, I just like to see everyones different take on the assignment. Great shots everyone!

MIDNIGHT 21ST APRIL - POLLS CLOSED - WE HAVE A WINNER!

A very close-run competition this month, with the top three entries only a percent or two apart from each other! So in reverse order, in third place with 15% of the total votes is popo. In second place with 16% of the votes is EricD.

But our winner this month with 17% of the total votes is Plymer - it really was a close shave - ho ho!

This means Plymer has until the end of April (preferrably soner) to set the theme (and any restrictions) for May's Assignment. Please let us know in this thread.

PS - As always, further congratulations to everyone who entered this month.

Wonder what you will pick for the next theme...

p

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the votes and there was some stiff competition! I was pretty excited to watch the tallies over the past few weeks and I'm pretty proud of myself and everyone else who submitted photos. It was a great theme and I'm glad there were so many different approaches to it :)

Gordon, I'll get back to you by Monday night GMT-4 with a topic!

Congrats Plymer, that was certainly a close one. Don't think I've seen it that close before!

Sorry I was a little slow getting back to you about this, the engagement photo session I was shooting ran a little late last night.

I've decided that the topic for next month's Assignment should be "Noise" - a challenge to depict sound through photography.

The limitations are simple: No descriptive text posted with or on the photo. The photo should tell the story without words being needed. EXIF is good to post of course.

Post-processing is allowed, multi-image compositions are allowed (diptychs, triptychs, etc), as long as it helps communicate the idea of Noise.

Congrats Plymer, well done...

Nice idea on the theme. I think perhaps taking a photo with lots of "picture/colour noise" does not count either!
