Hello all
Damn this is not good, now my want for a Nikon F3 has risen above the clouds. Have been planing an purchase for long but really never went through with it, now I am afraid I will....

Have been using the FE2 a little bit, it is considered professional but I don't own it so I cant join the club...yet.

And @ logic_nguyen, the F3 must be the beauty right?

Daniel

@Bigblocke:
F3 is solid piece of camera :)
it's a nice camera, but everything is manual ... :P

I share your opinion logic_nguyen, it is manual and you probably learn a lot from using it, when modern technology can't help you out to adjust right about everything in the camera.
Also as I have heard it is rock solid and is close to impossible to break. The FE2 I have used has travelled a couple of times around the world with its owner and has exposed thousands of pictures, still its in great shape and hanlde perfectly, and the outside have very few marks. And yet the F3 is one step before it in quality, so I guess I will buy one this summer and "go real".

I have to give notice of my resignation from the club. I have agreed in principle to sell the 5D. I guess I'm too used to the features of more modern cameras, and for my style it is annoying me too much that I don't feel like using it. I just can't live without auto-ISO and live view.

Working out the "loss" from selling again, it isn't bad. In fact I think it works out cheaper than hiring for the same period of time by a long shot... I wonder if this holds out for higher end used lenses too :D

Been offered 550 by a dealer. That'll largely pay off the 'DO.

Sorry for the absence. A lot of exams and assignments at uni lately.

Welcome to the club darragh and Ruben123! Sorry to see you leave, popo. I miss live view most on my 1DII, but the auto ISO I can work around. Keeping it in the low end and shooting in daylight to avoid horrible (IMO) noise. I basically bought it for this year's Roskilde Festival. Coupled with my 16-35mm, it should make a pretty tough wide angle machine to withstand the dust and rain.

Nikon N90s

Canon FTb

I inherited the FTb 20 years after my father gave up film photography. Later on, after I had become a serious photographer and picked up a DSLR, I bought the N90s so I would be able to invest in a single lens system for film and digital photography.

Okay, this thing has not been too active in a while. I have been lost in my bachelor project but as I am now a bachelor in medialogy and done with that, it is time to dig this one out from the mists again.

Welcome, Jaemok and gclark03! You have been added to the oldie-but-goodie list of members. It is good to have you on board. We hope you will like it here despite the slow start.

As for other activities, I have written a little review of my experiences with the 1DmkII after having it for a few months. It is somewhat a comparison between my 40D and the 1D.

So, I hope all of you have had a great spring and that your summer will be as good, if not better.

Rock on!
