FIrst Impressions:- Very Good.

What a joy to go back to true wideangle - struggling with the 35mm equivalent of other compacts has always been a pain.

Set to night mode, IS on, flash off it was very good at taking concert photos. Little camera shake, black backgrounds and well exposed lights, mostly in focus - with lights and lasers going it was a tough assignment.

One bug bear - flash button is just by your grip position so toggle flash on and off is a real possibility - you then risk being that annoying twiit using a flash at a concert.

Other real plus - very quick start up and continuous shooting (compared to IXUS 400)

So small and light you can take it anywhere.

Nice review Nick!

Can you share any of those concert photos here - perhaps via flickr? Concert photos with distant performers and dark surroundings are a challenge to any camera!
