Hello guys,

Im after a flashgun, im used to hiring out the SB900 from uni but i dont really want to pay the full price for it.

Is there any decent third party alternatives out there that have some build quality as so far the nissin and the metz 58 have really put me off with there plastic fit.

I don't know third party flashed with the power, zoom range or features of the SB-900. The Metz 58 AF is a wonderful flash, but then again, you must compare them, everyone has different needs.

My SB-600 feels quite solidly built. You can pretty much drop it, and it bounces right up again. Power is...sufficient for bouncing, the 900 won't add too much onto that.

It's also 1/3 cheaper than the SB-900 so I should definitely consider it :)

I take pictures so quickly, my highschool was "Continuous High".

I'm also guessing between the SB-600 and SB-900...
But I heard that the SB-600 would be updated (already a year ago)

If it updates, I'm going for the SB-600
