I am generally pleased with this camera except for an intermittent problem I have when taking flash pix. I get an orange-ish tint to the pictures. I can take two pictures right after another of the same subject, same lighting, etc, and one can have this problem. It can be a zoom, non-zoom, close to the subject, far away. Does it have to do with where in the frame the camera takes its reading to set the flash strength? Is the flash just insufficient? I've tried both the "IA" mode and "normal picture" modes. Thanks for any help.

Ai, that's hard to explain I think. Ill try.

Colours change when you are indoors and, for example, in bright sun.
The human eye changes by itself to the colour, but a camera doesnt.
So, youve to tell where the camera is at that moment: Inside, outside etc.
So, the camera can change its ''eye'' to what we're seeing.

you can choose manual-set for wb,
then, a diagram appears on screen,
with the joystick you can move a
dot throw the diagram and see at
the time changes in colour.

but perhaps work at the same way
