Hi folks,

Adobe are now running a countdown web page in preparation for the launch of CS5 on April 12th at 11am EDT.

Personally I find I can get along fine by only upgrading on alternate releases so I think I'll stick to CS4 and wait for CS6. But if you have CS3 and are about to purchase CS4 then sit on your hands (and wallet) for a few more days.

Bob.

Yay! I'm looking to buy CS5 and that should hopefully last me a while.

I mainly want Lightroom 3, it sounds very promising. I don't know if PS CS5 will offer much improvement, except for a new UI....

I've held off on PS CS4 as I thought CS5 wouldn't be far off, and will buy me a little more ACR update support time.

I have yet to give the latest Lightroom beta a try, but I'm not expecting it to win me over if the previous versions haven't even come close...

Has anyone else seen this preview of a couple of the new features?

I downloaded the Beta 2 of LightRoom 3 last night. I'm really impressed with it. They've really improved the sharpening and noise reduction algorithms. The automagic Flickr handling is pretty cool. Other than that there are a bunch of usability enhancements. Haven't really been through it all yet.

Meh, what a letdown. It's apparently going to ship mid-May :(

That is disappointing.

But I guess I can wait another month.

I just saw the feature where you can removed ghosting on HDR images and choose a "Primary" photo for the image, to pick photo where the wave was just perfect, for example.
