Saw the wild rabbits for the first time this year. Only had 210mm lens yet this one was somewhat approachable. I could get to less than 10m without it running, although it did turn its back to me when I tried to get close.

Went back to the same spot. I couldn't see the rabbits, and was about to leave when I saw something move. Rabbit! The camouflage seemed to work... I suspect it is the same pair as yesterday. This time I had the 400mm... plus by moving incredibly slowly, I did manage to get even closer too.

Our rabbit population has crashed according to the rabbit hunters this winter...all across the province.
Usually runs in about seven year cycles,the last two have been bumper years so it stands to reason, hopefully we'll see some come back this spring/summer.
