Taking pictures with a camera and a lens is what we're here to talk about. You can, however, take pictures with your gear of your gear! I love seeing pictures of lenses (and cameras), and I'd love to see additions from you to this thread in the future!
Please share what object your showing (brand, focal length and aperture range, e.g. Nikon 50mm f/1.4).
So be creative, experiment with angles, lighting, depth of field... Have fun and share the results here!

my very first camera (sold now). i really liked the look of it, but it was too small for me to use it comfortably and i really dig the extra buttons and the extra finger wheel on my D90.

thanks citruspers :)

the main lightsource on the right was a large window with thin white curtains (diffuse light, no direct sunlight).

then i put a small white cardboardbox on the other side of the camera to get some reflections there too.

and i think i have used a polarizer filter for this. which works nicely for rounded objects with reflections on it because it lets you choose which parts reflect and which dont.

if you have a polarizer, try it out on lots of different objects with shiny AND diffuse surfaces (that are non-metal). its surprising how it can completely change the look of some things.

A polarizer is on the list, but 77 mm multicoated ones are so expensive :(

Thanks though!
