Hi, I dont post much but use this site often...

I got a problem with Windows live Photo Gallery, Its a free downloadable photo gallery what lets you crop, edit and sharpen and reduse noise and stuff from your photos... I think its really cool (since its free) But ere is my problem, Everytime i use it my computer/monitor shuts down and turns off, Really annouying me since its really usefull and i cant use it... can anyone help me?

(dont know if this is the right place too post this question...)

Hi Rory,

I wonder if the screensaver settings have got corrupted? You can access them from the Windows Live Photo Gallery's File menu but in a rather typically Redmond way just accessing that menu item actually changes your default screensaver to Windows Live Photo Gallery (WLFG) even if you press Cancel to exit the dialog box. Much better, IMHO, to right-click on the Desktop and select "Personalize" (or Properties in older versions of Windows). Under W7 the screensaver choice can be modified from the bottom right of the applet. If you want to use the WLFG screensaver then check all the settings carefully, including the Power Management settings.
