At a function yesterday and caught a few I kind of like...

Image

#2 & 3...
In #2 caught the whole scene.
Skeet exploding top right and shell ejecting pic #3/crop
The skeet itself is a poor crop...too far too small
Image
Image

Honourable mention goes to "JJ" the landowners bird hunting dog.
Heard the shotguns start and came on the run full bore looking for birds
Image
Saw all the empty shells and figured it out....
Image
Awwww darn!!...stupid skeets...

Good timing on the shell ejections Kpr.

The dog shots are my favorites I used to keep Springers and still have a soft spot for them.

Thanks....

I think I am going to frame that series and present them to the owner of the property/dog there.
May deliver them when the syrup is running good :D
Quite the gentleman he is.

http://www.perrymunro.com/maple.html

Had some fun with him while he was telling "fishing stories" around the woodstove.
Was telling about breaking his flyrod on a trip in NFLD and said it wasn't a real issue he just continued to fish that day ...without...a rod.
(long trip out to get one/waste of a day  )
Well the stage was set cause so unlike me to say...."show me"

Psstt...he can cast better than me WITH a rod...lol

Back to the annual event again yesterday.
Seems as though the poor lighting and snow amounts haven't changed
Like to share a couple with you.

One for timing, like to think I nailed it but it was probably more a fluke...

The millisecond of the shell eject/reload...

Image

If you look closely in this pic you can actually see the "shot" from the shell before impact about halfway between the treeline and the skeet...
The empty shell hasn't even been ejected from the shotgun yet.

Image

Psssst Wolf....almost syrup time
